Hello! This is my summer. In August I went to Viana Do Castelo, with my father, my mother, my brother and my grandad . The best thing in my summer was going to waterpark in Vila Real. This day my family and me celebrated my birthday. In the Viana beach the boys and girls practised  kite surfing . Bye!!            Nuno

September 19, 2023 Hi everyone , This summer I went to Merza Percussion, a summer camp about percussion with teachers from all parts from Galicia where we did lots of types of percussion like Brazilian percussion or Galician percussion that is also called folk percussion. In Merza Percuission I met people from all parts of Spain, like Miguel and Roberto who they were from Murcia or Hector and Jorge who they were from Zamora. Also in the teachers' roster  was a teacher from the Netherlands called Bence Major. At the beginning of the day after breakfast we had folk class with the teacher Mario Cortizo, then we had contemporary class with Pablo Paz and the foundator Vincent Zaragoza .We had a break before the next class that was corporal percussion with Frank Mark and the last class we had Brazilian percussion with Andrés Rivero. And that was all for the morning. In the afternoon we had different activities depending the day, like the day that we ...

 In Spain they eat them* (castañas) but in England we play... CONKERS! This year we held the 2nd English Allariz Conker Championships. To play you need: a conker a screwdriver a shoelace Make a hole in the conker with the screwdriver . Then thread the shoelace through the hole and tie a knot . You are ready to fight (I mean play!) Players take turns to swing their conker and try to hit their opponent's conker. The goal is to destroy your opponent's conker! This video will show you how. And who won the 2nd English Allariz Conker Championship ? I don't know... If you think it was you, let me know in the comments! *Laura wants to point out that in Spain castañas are eaten, but conkers are castañas de indias and you can't eat them ! Hi! This summer I spent five days in Gijón with my parents, my cousin and my brother. We stayed in an apartment, just a few metres away from the beach of San Lorenzo. It was great! We chose to go to Gijón because the water is warmer than in any other beach in Galicia, and we also wanted to see the town itself. We didn't stay in Gijón for the whole week. We also went to a small town near it called Langreo, where there was once a factory where they made steel and other metals. There was a big museum built inside of the old factory that showed the process of creating steel from different materials. Also in Langreo, we went to a mine in the mountains, where my family went inside of one of the tunnels that went under the ground. I didn't go because I was a bit scared of being underground in a closed space, but I did visit the museum that explained how people worked in the mine years ago. It was very exciting and one of the best holidays I've ever had. Bye! Paulo

Hello!! Some days ago, I came back to Jordan. It was a trip which I was very excited about . I was there eight days, I was able to know places and nice people. First I visited some cities like Amman, the capital of the country, and Madaba where I could see beautiful Roman mosaics full of symbolism and very well preserved. People was very friendly and cordial. They were always   willing to help and they have open minds. After that I was in the lowest place on the earth (it is four hundred and twenty meters below sea level), the Dead Sea , it was amazing!! I was be able to float without effort and I could  test its rejuvenating mud. Also, I visited Petra, an incredible city built and carved in limestone by the Navateos, thousands of years ago. In summary, it was a nice experience; for me travelling is a good option to enjoy and open our minds. Vero

Hello everyone! This summer I went to the Basque country. I camped in our camper van with my parents.  I had a brilliant time. I went swimming at the beach. My summer was fantastic. Carmela

This summer on August 20 I went to the beach with my family, Noa, Ales, Fina and me . First in the morning we went to have breakfast in a bar next to the beach. At lunch time we went to the beach where my father and me got in the water, we ate sandwiches and later we left . Aaron

Hello everyone! I'm Lucas and my summer is divided in three parts: The first part was in Madrid, where I live . It began after I finished school on 22 June. I spent time with my friends and my family in my condo swimming pool. Then I went to A Coruña where I stayed for more than one month. There I had a party with my friends and family at my grandma's villa. I also went to my mum's town, A Rúa de Valdeorras. I especially liked the party in A Coruña ! I hope you had a nice summer! Hello everybody! This holiday I went to Malaga. I went with my mother, father, grandmother and my sister. I liked everything a lot, but the thing that I liked most was "sardinas al espeto" which are barbecued sardines. I had a very good summer. I hope you too. Otto

H i everyone! This summer I went to Ibiza. I went with my parents and my brother. I was only there for three days but I saw a lot of things. The thing that I liked the most was going to the city at night and seeing the sunset by the port. I also liked going to the beach and seeing the Salins, which are a home for a lot of flamingos. Hello everyone! This summer I went to a summer camp in Frankfurt in Germany with my sister Sunny. We ate so many different types of food . For example, pasta, curry, fried rice, German sausages and a lot of bread. They were delicious. We used to go to supermarkets everyday. They were different than Taiwan. They had lots of cheap, fresh fruit, and they had some sweets.They were tasty. And I had never seen them in my country. The English class of the camp was funny. We played some games in the class and the teachers sometimes gave us some sweets. And the tea and coffee of the English school were very good. Those six weeks I was very happy because I saw so many things that I had never seen . And I am very thankful for the teachers and the team leader. My summer vacation was wonderful. What about you? Hi everyone! This summer I went to Frankfurt summer camp with my brother Sunway. The English class was very cool. We played lots of English games, and German games.  I never saw those when I was in Taiwan. Many things were new , like the food, and the trees. They had many trees! And their supermarket had many cool foods. Juicy fruit, yum chips, and many types of cans. Can was like cooked fish, noodle, soup……I liked all of them. My classmates were very friendly, and very kind!  My teachers were really funny and smart! I really enjoyed my summer. What about you? Sunny

Hello!  This summer was great! I went to the beach in Villa García because it was my friend's birthday and I stayed there for a week. We did many fun things, like going to the cinema or to a swimming pool (the place my friend was celebrating her birthday). I also went to the pool and the river with my friends here in Allariz. For my birthday, we had a huge party with a DJ! It was amazing! I invited everyone in my class and it was fantastic.  That's all, bye! Consuelo

Hi everybody, This year, I traveled to Sandwich......yes!!!! It's the original place where they created the sandwich. I needed check my English level and .....of course....learn a lot. I traveled alone, to live for a week with  an English family. Every morning we did a theory class and after lunch, we visited and practised English in different and real situations. We visited different places: golf courses, the beach, a big city and a mine. A nice and a short experience for me. Toni

Hi, Mat! In my summer holidays I travelled on a cruise to different places. Some of them were: Napoli, Malta, Genova and Toulón.  On the cruise there were water slides, an F1 simulator, pools, and restaurants. After the cruise, I went to Bilbao to see a  Real Madrid match and I saw the city. Also I was at my cousin's wedding and I met two NBA players. The rest of the summer, I was in Amoeiro enjoying  the countryside life. Mat, I'm attaching the photo of the Real Madrid match. See you soon !!!

Hi everyone! This summer I went to Castellón and Tarragona. Have you ever been there? I went with my parents (Celso and Tatiana) and with my brother Mario. First stop was Castellón, we stayed in a small flat in the mountains. It had an incredible view.  There we visited different villages like Morella, Ares del Pozuelo and Castellfort. Also, we visited   castle, a dinosaur museum and some churches. After, we stayed in a small city near to Tarragona, it's name is Deltebre. There we went to the  beach Cap Roig and we visited rice fields. These were huge green fields covered by water and  rice plants. There we can see how the water of the Ebro River meets the water of the  Mediterranean Sea. We also went to The Caribbean Aquatic Park in Port Aventura World. My  brother, my father and I spent the day on the slides, my mother is scared of them and she only  swam in the pools. How was your summer? Let me know! Mariña
