One End of Spain to the Other!


Hello, I'm Mat's sister, Nikki!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Spain visiting lots of family - all at different ends of the country! First we stayed with my Dad and his wife in Coín where we swam in his pool and went on a boat trip to see dolphins (and got sea sick!)

Then we stayed with my brother-in-law, his wife, and their baby in Valladolid. Lots more swimming and eating lovely food!

Finally, we spent a week with Mat, Laura, and Maggie at a campsite by the beach in O Grove.

Some of my favourite moments were snorkelling in the cold sea and jumping off a big rock! Visiting the aquarium and seeing Moray Eels. And evenings on the beach when it was cooler and less crowded. The sunsets were magical. One night we lay in the sand looking up at the stars, searching for shooting stars, while the kids talked about what could be out there in the universe.

With us living in England, we rarely get to see family, so having this lovely time together was really special. Lots of great memories made!

This term my students have been learning about jobs and work vocabulary. We thought about the question: what do you want to be when you are older? Here are the many different and exciting jobs that these young people want to do when they grow up! The most popular job choice was teacher. I think it's great that so many people want to work with kids and share and help and teach! Being a footballer was another popular choice. You'll need to train hard guys! Two students want to be games designers. I love the mix of programming skills and creativity. And then we had two biologists (one of them specialising in ants - a myrmecologist!) Next up, two engineering-type jobs - an engineer and a technological designer. And to finish our dream jobs tour, we have a doctor, a tour guide and a fashion designer! Good luck to all of you! But also, don't worry about it too much. You are young, your ideas and dreams can change. Do what you love and study hard (but not too hard!)

My English Summer Camp

Hi everyone! This summer I went to Frankfurt summer camp with my brother Sunway. The English class was very cool. We played lots of English games, and German games.  I never saw those when I was in Taiwan. Many things were new , like the food, and the trees. They had many trees! And their supermarket had many cool foods. Juicy fruit, yum chips, and many types of cans. Can was like cooked fish, noodle, soup……I liked all of them. My classmates were very friendly, and very kind!  My teachers were really funny and smart! I really enjoyed my summer. What about you? Sunny
